As part of their sponsorship of the Sydney Winter Festival, Volvo Car Australia brought the Alps, animals and après-ski to the stunning grounds of St Mary's Cathedral on Thursday 4 August, with a winter wonderland event for the city's celebrities and VIPs.

Guests included TV presenter Richard Wilkins, Architect Nick Tobias, choreographer Adam Williams, Chef Luke Mangan, Australian athlete and TV personality Matt Shirvington and Wallabies and NSW star winger Drew Mitchell.

After warming up with traditional Schnapps shots, the glamorous crowd laced up their boots and indulged in a spot of skating on the huge ice-rink which sits beneath the beautiful backdrop of St Mary’s Cathedral.
